Maharashtra has reported 2,203 fresh Covid-19 cases and 3 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Thursday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,41,522 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,091.
Meanwhile, 2,478patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,79,733.
The state's recovery rate currently stands at 97.99 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent .
Presently, 13,665 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, the Marathwada region reported 127 positive cases and one death including 52 cases in Osmanabad district, followed by 22 cases in Aurangabad district, 21 cases in Latur district and 16 cases each in Jalna and Beed districts, while the remaining 3 districts did not reported any new Covid cases, the bulletin further added.
