Aurangabad/Mumbai, July 16 (BIJ News) Maharashtra reports 2,371 fresh Covid-19 cases
Maharashtra reports 2,371 fresh Covid-19 cases and 10 related deaths were reported across in the state, according to health bulletin on Saturday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,14,823 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,015.
Meanwhile, 2,914 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,50,808.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.95 per cent and fatality rate 1.84 per cent .
So far 8,25,59,392 samples were tested in the state and out of them 80,14,823 tested positive for Covid i.e. 9.71 percent .
Presently, 16,000 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, in Marathwada region 151 new Covid cases were reported including 57 positive cases in Aurangabad district, followed by 44 cases in Jalna district, 26 in Osmanabad district, 14 cases in Latur district, 8 cases in Beed district and 2 in Nanded district, the bulletin further added.
