Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharama Srinivas Reddy adjourned the Assembly sine die immediately after short discussion on “Failure of Central Government in Implementing the Assurances under AP Reorganisation Act in Telangana State” on Tuesday evening.
The Assembly transitioned business for 11 hours in three days as part of its Monsoon session. The house passed a total of eight bills.
Apart from passing two resolutions urging the Centre to name the new Parliament building in New Delhi after Dr BR Ambedkar, and opposing the new Electricity Amendment Bill 2022 proposed by the Union government, short discussions also held on three issues--“Central Electricity Bill-Ramifications”, “Central Government dual policy in implementation of FRBM Act-Impact on State’s Progress” and “Failure of Central Government in Implementing the Assurances under AP Reorganisation Act in Telangana State”.
